Device settings

A new shape.
A familiar website.

Enter a URL and choose Preview on Duo. Live preview shows interactive websites that allow embedding. If a public page blocks embedding, Duo View automatically uses a Microlink snapshot so you can scroll it directly on the device. Fold and rotate the model to inspect the layout.

What’s simulated

The 3D model has an animated hinge, two finishes, and front/back inspection. The tabletop preset puts video above the hinge and playback controls below. The streaming player is an independent interactive demo using Sintel by Blender Foundation. Embeddable websites stay visible across the bend as two clipped page views. Choose Scroll preview to scroll a public page as a snapshot while keeping the fold, or Open flat to scroll and click the live website. Display size, orientation, responsive breakpoints, optional browser chrome, and a visual hinge guide. Folding switches between the outer and inner display; the guide doesn’t create separate screen segments.

How we estimate viewport sizes

Apple lists 1398 × 2034 display pixels outside and 1878 × 2670 inside. We divide by an assumed 3× scale to get portrait presets of 466 × 678 and 626 × 890 CSS pixels; landscape swaps width and height. The display resolutions are published specifications, but the 3× conversion is our assumption. These editable estimates have not been validated as Safari viewport sizes on the device. Browser chrome and safe areas can change the usable viewport.

Snapshots

Snapshot sends the public page URL and selected dimensions to Microlink. Scroll or swipe on the Duo screen to explore the captured page. In 3D, both halves scroll together even while the phone is bent. Choose Rotate model to adjust the camera, then Scroll preview to continue scrolling. It captures a fresh browser session, so it cannot show your signed-in pages, play media, or respond to clicks. Local and private addresses are not sent. Captures can be cached, rate-limited, or blocked by the destination site. Rotate or change the display size to request the matching layout.

Your browser does the rendering

This isn’t iOS Safari emulation. The preview uses your current browser; it doesn’t change its user agent, pixel density, touch capabilities, or foldable-device APIs.

If a website doesn’t appear

Duo View checks public pages for embedding restrictions and automatically switches blocked pages to a Microlink snapshot. If a public preview takes more than 15 seconds to finish loading, it also switches to a snapshot. You can choose Create snapshot manually at any time. Local and private URLs stay in Live preview. Websites can also require sign-in or block automated capture; in that case the preview reports the limitation. For your own website, allow embedding from the simulator’s origin. No new browser window is needed.
